Goldrush is a 375km Multi-sport event, set in the back country of Central Otago following the old trails opened up by the pioneers in their search for gold. It includes kayaking, mountain biking, running and road biking.

It has been said that the Goldrush is what multi- sport was like in the "old days", fun, friendly, affordable, and with a great atmosphere. With so many events now staged all tastes are catered for but oddly enough only a very select few attract what is almost a cult following. Coast to Coast springs to mind and now a race in it's 13th year, "Goldrush", is staking a claim to join this elite few. We wonder is it the name or maybe the great scenery, the unique challenge or maybe the great food that sets Goldrush apart from your average race and makes it a must do on the Multi-sporters calendar?

Goldrush is 3 days of fun filled excitement, mixing, and sharing stories with your old and new found friends. Read the course description.
Goldrush has 3 fantastic meals provided by enthusiastic country groups, who pride themselves on their high standards of presentation and quality.

Goldrush is a well organised event, characterised by the high quality of marshals, timekeepers and the many helpers who make the athletes' and support crews' jobs easy.

Where to from here?

Goldrush has come a long way since it began in 1997. The numbers have increased every year since its inception.
The organisers are very aware that Goldrush has a great future.

The size of the event will dictate the atmosphere surrounding the race and this will continue to be monitored so the special attributes of Goldrush will be retained.

Central Otago and Goldrush offers visitors an outdoor experience, unequaled anywhere in New Zealand, with the vast countryside and very special locations in which the evening camps are set. Try the magic of Goldrush and get hooked yourself on this fantastic outdoor challenge. More about this multisport event.

We look forward to meeting you.
